Hey Moms,

I wanted to let you all know about a teleclass I'm teaching next week.

'Get What You Want!' Teleclass
Powerful Communication for Divorced Moms
Monday, December 10th; 6pm - 7pm, Pacific

**Have you ever tried to have a productive conversation with your ex - but ended up feeling frustrated, manipulated or like you just made matters worse?
**Or have you ever avoided a difficult conversation because you're afraid you'll meltdown?
**Do you ever feel confused or 'run over' when conversations go askew?
**Or worse... do you ever agree to things you don't want to agree to simply because it's so hard to say 'no'?

You are in good company, Solo Mama. Clear, powerful and productive conversations are an art. Many divorced moms struggle with having difficult conversations because they're afraid they'll lose self control, make matters worse or they just feel the whole thing is hopeless. In fact many women - divorced or not - are challenged by having strong, powerful, emotionally clean conversations.

The good news is you don't have to give up asking for what you want, and nothing is hopeless. You can learn to have strong, productive conversations without becoming vicious, breaking down or alienating anyone. You can ask for what you want - and expect to get it. You don't need to be afraid of saying what's really on your mind. And it can be easy and comfortable with positive results.

Whether it's your ex, your attorney, your ex in-laws, your children, employer, romantic partner, friends or family, finding the right words at the right time - and using them powerfully - will change your life for the better.

I've worked with hundreds of divorced moms struggling with the same frustrations and communication set-backs you might be dealing with right now. I've also been hired by CEO's and company founders to coach them specifically on how to have productive, powerful negotiations - and get the results they want. And as a divorced mom myself, I've dealt with plenty of communication snafus and intense negotiations too. I know how overwhelming it can feel! I also know how liberating and great it feels to realize you can ask for what you want, and get it!

Honestly, I'd like to see every divorced mom learn these skills. They are that important. Nothing will transform your life faster or serve you better than knowing how to effortlessly, fairly and calmly negotiate a deal, navigate a tough conversation or hold your own when the heat is on. And, contrary to what many divorcing couples believe, negotiations don't end when the settlement is finalized. If you share any custody at all, you will be negotiating for the rest of your life.

Even if you no longer have any contact with your ex or his family, as a woman raising a family on her own you need powerful, confident communication skills in order to survive.

Ready to try on a whole new brand of POWERFUL and get what you really want in life? Ready to confidently and masterfully take your life to the next level? Make sure you are on this life-changing call.

Join us and you'll learn:

**How to hold your own with your buttons are being pushed
**Ways to 'set the stage' to get what you want before you even begin a tough conversation
**How to stay focused and confident during any conversation
**Why silence is your secret-weapon - and how to use it productively and fairly
**Why people aren't listening to you - or remembering what you say
**How to get what you want without being 'off-putting' or ruining relationships
**Graceful ways to find your way back after a meltdown
**Why what you say will give you a happier, healthier divorced-mom life - right now!

Make a bold and positive change in your life. Mark your calendar for Monday, December 10th, 6pm Pacific and join us for our 'Get What You Want!' Teleclass. It will get you out of your divorce drama and on to an amazing new life.

This class is back by popular demand and spaces are filling fast. Click here to get your spot today. Any questions? We're happy to help and just a phone call away: 626-447-7412. For more information on other divorce recovery programs, go to SoloMama.com!

Hello Moms!

I hope you are all enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend.

Many of you have requested a weekend event. I thought it would be fun to have our 'Holiday Party' on Saturday, December 8th, starting at 6:30pm. We'll be doing a Progressive Wine and Appetizer Night in Old Town Pasadena. We'll start at Heritage Wine Company, enjoy a bite and a glass of wine (or whatever you like), and then move on to another local wine bar or restaurant. We'll be going to a total of 5 -6 places, all close by and easy to walk to (bring your jackets though - it might get cold!)

I've done this before for a friend's birthday and it's a lot of fun. It's a great way to get a little taste and feel for different places, plus fun to get out and mingle in Old Town during the holidays.

Saturday, Dec. 8th 6:30pm - ?
Progressive Wine & Appetizer Night
Starting at: Heritage Wine Company
*There is a public parking building next door to Heritage.
** Heritage is also close to the Memorial Park Metro Station, if you want to take the Metro.

Hope to see you there!
Jeanie

Hi Moms,

It's almost time to get together again!

This month we'll be meeting at El Portal restaurant in Pasadena (it's the mexican restaurant across the street from Varomans Book Store on Colorado Blvd.) There is parking in the back lot off of Green Street, as well as lots of street parking.

It should be fun & a great way to relax before the crazy holidays hit. Hope more moms will make it this time!

Best,
Jeanie

Hello lovely moms!

Just wanted to let you all know about a workshop I am facilitating this November. I'd love to have you there!

Handle the Stress of Handling it All
The Divorced Mom's Way to Doing It All - With Ease!

Friday, Nov. 2nd; 11:30 - 1:30pm
The Four Seasons Tea Room in Sierra Madre

Do you ever feel like there just isn't enough of you to go around? Do you drudge through the week (or month, or even years?) trying to 'cross the finish line' so you can finally exhale and take a break? Have you become more of a drill sergeant and less like the happy mom you used to be?

You aren't alone! There are a lot of divorced moms out there who feel the exact same way - exhausted from the stress of trying to do it all.

There's a lot to handle as a divorced mom (we are, after all, often doing the work of two people!). But the problem isn't just that we have a lot on our plates. The real problem is that most divorced moms keep trying the same time management and self-care methods over & over again - usually the same ones they used when they were married moms - hoping that someday, somehow they will get the relief they need.

Divorced moms need a different approach - one that addresses the real reasons why we are all so depleted and overwhelmed; one the makes our lives easier, not harder; one that gives us better tools - tools specifically designed for divorced moms by divorced moms - to help us get through our busy lives with more ease and joy.

Join us for our November Solo Mama Workshop. We're tackling the epidemic of stressed out, overwhelmed divorced moms once and for all. No more beating ourselves up for not 'doing it all' or 'being it all'; no more sleepless nights worrying about the massive to-do list waiting for us; no more losing patience with our kids because we are so exhausted; and best of all, no more coming last on our own long list of priorities!

The Solo Mama Workshop is for you if...

You get resentful that there are so many demands in your life. You find yourself short-tempered and 'snapping' at people you care about.

You are exhausted. You want to feel better, but you just can't see the way out.

You catch yourself wondering if things will ever get better.

Your relationships and friendships are suffering because of your stress and overwhelm.

You sincerely want to end the suffering you feel.

Your kids have dubbed you 'the mean mom', and sadly, you agree.

You wonder what happened to the person you used to be.

"I attended one of Jeanie's workshops and it was great! Such a warm atmosphere, positive people and great energy. I finally feel like I'm in charge of my destiny. I am moving on and creating a life my girls and I deserve. The tools I learned in Jeanie's workshop were simple and highly effective. Thanks!" JK, a divorced mom of two from Southern California

Give yourself a gift and meet us for a delicious. gourmet lunch o Friday, November 2nd, 11:30 -1:30 at the Four Seasons Tea Room in Sierra Madre. We can show you how to succeed without the struggle.

Join us for lunch and you'll...

Discover what's really behind your depletion and stress (hint: it's probably not what you think it is)
Learn easy-to-implement tools that will help you stay out of overwhelm and get through your days with more ease and joy.
Connect with other divorced moms who have a positive attitude and are eager to move on in their lives.
Take home learning materials so you can easily integrate what you've learned at the workshop - and see real differences in your life!
Enjoy a really yummy lunch and tea in a beautiful, inspiring setting.
Get pampered with delightful gifts designed to refuel and refresh you
Have some much-needed fun and relaxation!

The Solo Mama Workshop is a great way to recharge your batteries, meet new friends and walk away with powerful stratgies that will make your divorced-mom life much, much easier. As a divorce recovery coach and a divorced mom myself, I really understand the demands we face.

"Working with Jeanie has made a huge impact on my life. I'm no longer constantly fighting with my ex, I have more time and energy for my children and for the first time in a long time, I feel great about myself" M.Z., Northern California, divorced mom of two.

I'd love to meet you at the next Solo Mama Workshop. I know it'll give you the tools you need to combat your stress and start feeling alive again. Spaces are limited and do fill very quickly. Click here to get registered today. Or, feel free to call me and register by phone: 626-447-7412

Hello lovelies,

One of my favorite authors, Jane Porter, is coming to Pasadena! She's doing a reading and book signing on her latest book, Odd Mom Out - a wonderful story about an unconventional single mom and a daughter who are trying to fit into their conservative hometown.

Jane's books are the perfect antidote for any divorced mom! As a divorced mom herself, Jane captures perfectly the subtle sorrows and unexpected delights we all face - reading her books is like talking to a good girlfriend who truly understands what you are going through. Her last book, Flirting with Forty, was one of my favorite, fun reads ever.

So, let's go and support another Solo Mama! You can find out more about Jane at www.JanePorter.com

Hope you can make it!

Hello fellow Solo Mamas!

I hope you are all savoring the final days of summer (hot as they are!)

After our last meetup, it was suggested to me that I schedule regular meetups at the same location. I this that's a great idea! It'll help us meet with more consistency and get to know each other better.

SO. Mark the THIRD THURSDAY of every month, 6:30pm for Solo Mamas of Pasadena. I'm still unsure of where we will be meeting - most likely a restaurant in Old Pasadena. As soon as I have a location, I'll post it on the board. Keep your eyes peeled!

Until we meet again - stay sane and cool (if possible)
