Hello all,

I hope you are as excited about our Sunday picnic as I am! If you have not RSVP’d yet, it’s not too late…c’mon, what do you have to loose but a few
Saturday hours you were going to spend sulking, or watching other people live on the TV…and there will always be laundry to do and dishes, but life is passing you by…so take a chance and come join us!

A few minor changes:

- Many have expressed a concern that it will be a hot afternoon, so I am moving the time back from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Hopefully it will have started to cool off a bit…

- The large covered Pavilion that I was hoping to reserve will have a boat load of kids on a portion on it…not exactly the serene atmosphere we are hoping for, so instead we will be meeting at the Southmost tip of the park (nearest to Longhorn Road), where there are two smaller covered tents with benches side by side. So if you can please bring some foldout chairs, or blankets for extra seating that would be great!

- I looked into reserving an AC’d recreational center space near the park, but it is $30per hour with a minimum 3 hour rental and a $75 deposit. We do not have the funds or number of people coming to cover that.

- I will be there a little before 5:00pm to setup, so if you are interested in helping with the setup, please let me know…I sure could use it : )

- I have a sunburned Orange colored HHR which should be easy for you to spot and locate us. You can also call my cell at [masked], if you get lost or need further details.

- Please don’t forget to check our site to see what others are bringing, and update your RSVP with what you are bringing, if you have not already done so.

See you soon!

Hugs,
ellie

Hello Everyone!

I hear you loud and clear, it's time to meetup again!!! I have been thinking of a good place where we can feel free to talk, move around, and not spend an arm and a leg to be there. Most Restaurants are stuffy and have seating that does not allow for people to walk around and feel free, plus it's hard to pick out something that serves everyones tastes. And then it came to me...duh...our Picnic in February was a great success, save the cool weather (I don't believe there will be a risk of that re-occuring in June : ) . Checkout the event reviews on the Calendar for Feb 15th of this year. Everyone really enjoyed pitching in, and we had a wonderful time, so...let's do it again!

Theme: Bringing back a little "Summer" into our Lives!!

Refreshments: This is a potluck so please indicate in your RSVP what you plan to bring…
Some Suggested Items to Bring:
- Chest with Ice
- Paper plates (DO NOT BRING, I have a lot left over from last time : )
- Drinks
- Napkins or Wetnaps (DO NOT BRING, I have a lot left over from last time : )
- Mats to sit on, eventhough the park has a covered area with tables and chairs
- Plastic cups
- Fruit (lots of fruit!!!)

Where: The Willow Creek Park is located off of Knolles and Longhorn in Saginaw, Texas 76179. Very close to where 820W- and I35 E intersect, just North of Down Town Fort Worth. Please click below for a map:

http://maps.google.co...

I have already called the City and we can reserve a covered area for $50...unless one of the people coming lives in Saginaw, and then we can get it for $25.

Does anyone live in Saginaw??? If you do please email me!

WILLOW CREEK PARK - Willow Creek Park is a beautiful 65-acre park conveniently located in the West end of the city. that contains a 2 1/2 mile jogging/bicycle path with NEW exercise stations, several covered picnic sites, a lighted softball field, two tennis courts, one full court and one half court basketball court, two volleyball courts, a nine hole disc golf course, and several playgrounds. There is a large pavilion on the North end of the park, a small pavilion on the South end of the park, and a small gazebo in the middle section of the park. Each of these three facilities may also be reserved by contacting the Saginaw Recreation & Community Services Department

Who: Feel free to bring friends, family and children.

Can’t wait to see you there!!!

Now you too can welcome in the Summer, in the company of those who understand that you may be going through the coldest winter of your life...

Hugs!

Well actually, I will reserve the covered space so we'll be safe if it rains. We'll still meet and simply conduct our activities under the huge tent.
